Art Available - Gallery 1

Hope by Ron Warford, 40' x 30 " Graphite on Black Board, Framed
Mr. Warford's work was selected by the Smithsonian Institution for a national traveling exhibition in 1973. He was one of the initial founding and teaching members at the Folk Art Gallery in Syracuse. His work spings from his imagination and is masterfully executed. Tel (315) 391-5115 for more info or to purchase. One of the presidents of a local art guild referred to Ron's work as  "master works" for their power and quality.

Strength , by Ron Warford. 20 " X 30"

Home is Where the Hearth Is by Jaws. This piece took 600 hours. Amazingly, to produce this the artist had to put the snowflakes  in first on a white fine piece of paper and then build everything around it. Think about it - this amazing work, and other pieces of the artists work can be seen at CNY Artists Gallery, which purchased this piece in 2013.

Art To Die For

As an artist and a historian, I have always had a great desire to visit Rome, Italy. It is a Mecca for historians and artist alike. There is so much to do and see there, one would need a month to take it all in, but my husband and I had five days. Even though we wanted to visit the famous Roman Catacombs which lay outside the city, it was impossible to work it into our schedule. However, we had a solution to this problem, before we left for Rome our daughter said “Be sure you go to the Bone… Continue

Artist Bio

Marty Hillenbrand is an up and coming glass artist, whose works can be found adorned amongst the stylish and hip. Born in Syracuse, NY, Marty had grown up in the Tipperary Hill area attending school at Solvay and Westhill. As a youth, he had began to develop a consciousness that involved deep seated appreciation for obscure and beautiful things, and sought to put his experiences into the various mediums. In summer 2008, he ran into his glass mentor, Chris Roesinger and quickly had melded…

More Flash drive pendants

I made a whole batch of flash drive pendants last week. They would make a great gift. They come with adjustable length chains so they can be worn with a variety of outfits. I just need to photograph them. I will be posting them soon. Stay tuned!

Joan Applebaum Windy Hill Studio

I just found this site tonight. I love the idea and cooperative spirit. I have been an artist and an art educator for several years currently working as the Arts Studio Coordinator at the East Area Family YMCA in Fayetteville. I try to exhibit and sell my work as much as time permits. I am currently showing artwork in the Associated Artists Off the Wall show at the Manlius Library, the Stanley Center for the Arts Regional show in Utica, and also a few small artsy gift shops in the area. Here is… Continue
