Art Available - Gallery 1

Hope by Ron Warford, 40' x 30 " Graphite on Black Board, Framed
Mr. Warford's work was selected by the Smithsonian Institution for a national traveling exhibition in 1973. He was one of the initial founding and teaching members at the Folk Art Gallery in Syracuse. His work spings from his imagination and is masterfully executed. Tel (315) 391-5115 for more info or to purchase. One of the presidents of a local art guild referred to Ron's work as  "master works" for their power and quality.

Strength , by Ron Warford. 20 " X 30"

Home is Where the Hearth Is by Jaws. This piece took 600 hours. Amazingly, to produce this the artist had to put the snowflakes  in first on a white fine piece of paper and then build everything around it. Think about it - this amazing work, and other pieces of the artists work can be seen at CNY Artists Gallery, which purchased this piece in 2013.

About Me.

Original Pen & Inks

Born here in Syracuse NY and being surrounded by the mountains forests and the nature that is upstate NY. I always had the desire for art. Being self taught I strived for the detail of nature and all it’s beauty and humor that is nature. Thru trial and error I was called to pen & Ink for the detail and allowing for an original style in the medium. As you can see most of my art is thru my minds eyes and thru my years of being a Biker I have encompassed the years of riding throughout our country with the sites that have remained in my mind. I also do many commissions of peoples ideas as well as their homes etc.  As many of my titles show I hope is the humor in each piece I never know if the title will come first or the art then let the art tell me the title. But I hope thru the detail and humor it brings the viewer back over and over to discover the hidden joys I try to put in each piece.
I have had my work in galleries throughout the east coast as well as Kentucky and Ohio. And was selected to have a piece in 2007 “Stone Canoe” Art book publication “ A Bird In The Hand” which was an honor to be selected from all the professional artist also gracing the pages.    All my work is Originals I do not do any prints except of course my cards and stationery which are under the name “Suitable “4” Framing. I only use the finest Nib for my pen a #102 which makes for many hours of dipping and cleaning and sadly one mistake and I have to begin again. I use only water color paper to add to the texture of all my art. I want each piece to be presented to the viewer as a true work of time and hopefully talent and humor.
As for the snow scenes each snow flake is drawn and then the scene is drawn behind it to make it as real as I can. Unlike painting for me it’s the only way I know to make it as true as I can.  The hours to complete a piece can be from a mere 10 hours to over 500 hours as seen in “Home Is Where The Hearth Is” and “Audience Participation”. So please enjoy the work and remember why have a print when you can have an original?
And being a Biker for over 30 years and because I do live the Biker’s Life don’t worry if your first thought Is “Are you really the Artist?” I ask myself that often. Please enjoy my works if they make you smile and think or remember I have done what I wanted!    Thank You!  Jaw’s
