Hope by Ron Warford, 40' x 30 " Graphite on Black Board, Framed
Mr. Warford's work was selected by the Smithsonian Institution for a national traveling exhibition in 1973. He was one of the initial founding and teaching members at the Folk Art Gallery in Syracuse. His work spings from his imagination and is masterfully executed. Tel (315) 391-5115 for more info or to purchase. One of the presidents of a local art guild referred to Ron's work as  "master works" for their power and quality.

Strength , by Ron Warford. 20 " X 30"

Home is Where the Hearth Is by Jaws. This piece took 600 hours. Amazingly, to produce this the artist had to put the snowflakes  in first on a white fine piece of paper and then build everything around it. Think about it - this amazing work, and other pieces of the artists work can be seen at CNY Artists Gallery, which purchased this piece in 2013.

Dream Horse by M. Smart

As an abstract artist, I am always trying to find new and different ways to express myself on paper, canvas, etc. I was at my local art supply store replenishing my inventory when I came across a book called "acrylic REVOLUTION" by Nancy Reyner. I started flipping through, and thought, this looks fun!! I had an idea that will without a doubt would keep the creativity flowing plus be an interesting experiment. I am going to complete at least one piece per week following Reyner's 104 tips. For example, the first chapter is titled "You Can Paint on Anything". For the first nine weeks, I will try painting first on canvas, then on paper, followed by wood, patterned fabric, silk, metal, glass and finally objects. The following nine weeks will be spent experimenting with various objects to apply the paint in chapter two titled "You Can Paint With "Anything". Chapter three I will be playing with various surface treatments and grounds, four I will be working with spatial effects, five texture, six transfers, collage and mixed media, seven innovative stenciling and line work, in chapter eight I will enhance my skills at customizing my paint, nine will be spent with other mediums, and I will finish with chapter ten titled "Magical Effects and Finishing Sheens". After each piece is complete, I plan on blogging about my experience creating it and the finished product. What I hope to accomplish by this is to polish the skills I have and attain new ones. I am one of those people who beliEve that we should learn something new everyday and always view things with an open mind.

This piece I call Fiesta (11" X 14"), it is the first of many to come as I am simultaneously painting and blogging my way through, Nancy Reyner's acrylic Revolution. This piece was a lot of fun. I started by creating an inviting background and then picked a very bright color pallet to express some of my southwest heritage. I was able to capture exactIy what I wanted and will definetly be creating more pieces using this technique. Next I will be playing the knives, I am looking forward creating a piece soly using various sizes and shapes of knives.
