Art Available - Gallery 1

Hope by Ron Warford, 40' x 30 " Graphite on Black Board, Framed
Mr. Warford's work was selected by the Smithsonian Institution for a national traveling exhibition in 1973. He was one of the initial founding and teaching members at the Folk Art Gallery in Syracuse. His work spings from his imagination and is masterfully executed. Tel (315) 391-5115 for more info or to purchase. One of the presidents of a local art guild referred to Ron's work as  "master works" for their power and quality.

Strength , by Ron Warford. 20 " X 30"

Home is Where the Hearth Is by Jaws. This piece took 600 hours. Amazingly, to produce this the artist had to put the snowflakes  in first on a white fine piece of paper and then build everything around it. Think about it - this amazing work, and other pieces of the artists work can be seen at CNY Artists Gallery, which purchased this piece in 2013.

Dream Horse by M. Smart

going back to my beginning...or one of them..

In  a show and tell group, I dragged out my drawings from my past life...I call them "My girls" They  are the part of a series of fun whimsical drawings with sayings..Everyone took a vote and said "THIS" is what I should be doing....Well I've been doing them since I was a child....except now the saying are not child like..ha ha ..well some are,  but most aren't... I have some listed up on etsy and ebay..as of yesterday Sunday Feb. 20th. I plan on gettting them out there...

I had to reinvent myelf due to lack of large space to work in... this does it for me... I feel like I'm playing when I create them...What a wonderful way to work....

frugal is such an ugly word

Not my problem

HI I do that as well at Stapels,  due to thefact that My printer is not good....but for your cards I just wanted to print them out in b/W with my printer just to pass out to friends...

The cards did not print out well ..due to my crumby printer...and I cannot print color.. I need a new one...but it is not on the top of my priority list...so at some point in time when this group gathers, I'll get some cards from you to pass out...In the mean time I will do a verbal thing....

As far as ideas...I am inundated with them..too much sometimes...I had a dream of lottey numbes a year ago..it was so vivid it woke me up ..I wrote them down...and await still..yes I buy lottery tickets..

Ok...You missed my point...there must be a posting board at Quilting by the lake...and You should..( like my wording..You should....pushy broad..) make a flier with those tear off tabs for people to find you when they need you...good idea???????? yup....unless of course you are so busy you do not need more sick machines on your operating table..... I would love it if you would send your testimonial to my email address so I can forward it to the bunch of people who sew...I don't know how to do that off this website..thanks  We creative people love to help one another

You don't know happy that makes me feel:) I'm not the only one. My mind is so full of projects I'm working on I have to keep lists. They pour in so fast I can't keep up.  I need more hours in a day. I am baffled when someone tells me they are bored.  LOL  Ok, back to work for me.

Can't wait to see the new girls.

Ellen, you are absolutely correct..and artists are in my sketchbook and already one of the  themes. If you could see it.. You would choke...the ideas flow out of me like a Niagara Falls. Sometimes it becomes a problem...as I'm sure most artist can relate to...

It is wonderful it's been fun sharing ideas with like mined people. I feel like I'm making new friends:) Love the idea of sewing girls ... but come on how 'bout some fun artist girls? I can picture them now one with a camera, a paintbrush even a pen & tablet. Oh the possibilities are endless:)

Isn't cyberspace great....Don cancel all your vacations the seamstress will keep you busy...There is a conference coming to OCC in July .  Quilting by theLake.. It has been in the area for a long time and it is filled with hundreds of women with sewing machines...If you are not familiar with it , I would check it out and get your name out there.....They have a tons of workshops and lots of people visiting the quilt show...

I'm on my way to the post offfice as soon as it opens to mail your print.. I should do some fun characters for the sewing world... Ah ha... another niche to make a series for....

Can I jump in here too! I also need machine help. I have a great old machine that my neighbor gave me from his late wife and I don't want to use it till it's been cleaned. So, it sounds like you're the go to guy. Business cards would be great, a lot of my friends sew also and it's hard to find a good repair person:)
