Art Available - Gallery 1

Hope by Ron Warford, 40' x 30 " Graphite on Black Board, Framed
Mr. Warford's work was selected by the Smithsonian Institution for a national traveling exhibition in 1973. He was one of the initial founding and teaching members at the Folk Art Gallery in Syracuse. His work spings from his imagination and is masterfully executed. Tel (315) 391-5115 for more info or to purchase. One of the presidents of a local art guild referred to Ron's work as  "master works" for their power and quality.

Strength , by Ron Warford. 20 " X 30"

Home is Where the Hearth Is by Jaws. This piece took 600 hours. Amazingly, to produce this the artist had to put the snowflakes  in first on a white fine piece of paper and then build everything around it. Think about it - this amazing work, and other pieces of the artists work can be seen at CNY Artists Gallery, which purchased this piece in 2013.

About Me

Artist and Art Educator

Website:

http://deborahwalshart.com

BFA Painting from SU, MS Art Education from SU.

Art educator in Liverpool Central Schools.

I grew up during the 1950’s and 60’s when America’s love affair with the automobile became a cultural phenomenon. As the daughter of an autoworker cars were an important part of my life.  The shiny behemoth in the driveway of our suburban home was the quintessential emblem of middle class success.  During the 1970’s, the hippie biker subculture had a profound influence on my artwork. I was raised on a diet of tail fins, muscle cars, and Harleys. Images of cars and motorcycles evoke memories of the excitement and freedom of the open road.   As a contemporary realist, I paint what I see. I am fascinated by the way light falls on shiny objects. My paintings capture life’s moments reflected in chrome.

Support Arts in Education!

School budgets are being proposed throughout the county and sadly, the arts are first in line for cutting.  At Liverpool we are working hard to educate the public and the BOE on the importance of the arts in education. The arts are a core subject, playing a significant role in children's development and in the learning process.  Please - voice your concerns to upcoming arts program cuts to your Board of Education - SAVE THE ARTS IN SCHOOLS!… Continue
