Hope by Ron Warford, 40' x 30 " Graphite on Black Board, Framed
Mr. Warford's work was selected by the Smithsonian Institution for a national traveling exhibition in 1973. He was one of the initial founding and teaching members at the Folk Art Gallery in Syracuse. His work spings from his imagination and is masterfully executed. Tel (315) 391-5115 for more info or to purchase. One of the presidents of a local art guild referred to Ron's work as "master works" for their power and quality.
Strength , by Ron Warford. 20 " X 30"
Home is Where the Hearth Is by Jaws. This piece took 600 hours. Amazingly, to produce this the artist had to put the snowflakes in first on a white fine piece of paper and then build everything around it. Think about it - this amazing work, and other pieces of the artists work can be seen at CNY Artists Gallery, which purchased this piece in 2013.

Anytime is a good time to think of volunteering at Syracuse NY or nearby.
Having worked as secretary/steno/typist in the past, retirement gave me opportunity to "jump" into the art area. In retrospect, was in it along with working a "day job" as I did enter "ON MY OWN TIME" at employer and won in the "drawing" category. In 2004 (approximately) I donated that piece to the RescueMission's auction, and it sold!! Confidence resulted and here I am. Founded "CNY Art Forum" in 8/08…

Thank you Arleen! I left you a message through Facebook, wondering if you
had more information on the Art Show on the 17th? I was at the Library and looked at the room and the hanging arrangements. I asked if there was a poster, but it must have been taken. And to make sure I have noted it correctly - we are to bring our work to the Library between 1:00 and 4:00 on the 16th - and hang it then? and then the show is 10:30 til 3:30 pm on Saturday - are we to be there at the beginning? the whole time? I do remember that we must pick up our art promptly at 3:30 since the library closes.
I want to invite friends but I am clueless as to what to expect as I have
not been in a show before! I would appreciate any information you can give
me on it.
Looking forward to the show, many thanks!
Susan
