Art Available - Gallery 1

Hope by Ron Warford, 40' x 30 " Graphite on Black Board, Framed
Mr. Warford's work was selected by the Smithsonian Institution for a national traveling exhibition in 1973. He was one of the initial founding and teaching members at the Folk Art Gallery in Syracuse. His work spings from his imagination and is masterfully executed. Tel (315) 391-5115 for more info or to purchase. One of the presidents of a local art guild referred to Ron's work as  "master works" for their power and quality.

Strength , by Ron Warford. 20 " X 30"

Home is Where the Hearth Is by Jaws. This piece took 600 hours. Amazingly, to produce this the artist had to put the snowflakes  in first on a white fine piece of paper and then build everything around it. Think about it - this amazing work, and other pieces of the artists work can be seen at CNY Artists Gallery, which purchased this piece in 2013.

Event Description

Would you like to see your work larger than life?  Well then this is your chance.  the CNY Arts Center (different than CNY Artists - here) is looking for you.  During Harbor Fest in Oswego, this years recycled art project will be using one origional piece of art that is juried selected to re reproduced to an 8'x12' visual hanging work to be displayed on a building side somewhere very visible in Oswego County (has not yet been selected).  The origonal art work will be scaled up from it's submitted size and reproduced on hundreds of little retangles of aluminum that will hang freely and blow in the wind.   See the website for details and entry form  http://www.cnyartscenter.com/.  click on the "art in the wind" link.  you can also take a look at last years 2012 mural project as well made from recycled glass bottles, (picture shown to the left) and on the web.  Deadlines have been extended for two weeks, new deadline for submission will be February 16th, and selected by February 28th.  all entries will be notified of winner.  Any additional questions e-mail me at gamo2000@aol.com - subject, art in the wind.
