Art Available - Gallery 1

Hope by Ron Warford, 40' x 30 " Graphite on Black Board, Framed
Mr. Warford's work was selected by the Smithsonian Institution for a national traveling exhibition in 1973. He was one of the initial founding and teaching members at the Folk Art Gallery in Syracuse. His work spings from his imagination and is masterfully executed. Tel (315) 391-5115 for more info or to purchase. One of the presidents of a local art guild referred to Ron's work as  "master works" for their power and quality.

Strength , by Ron Warford. 20 " X 30"

Home is Where the Hearth Is by Jaws. This piece took 600 hours. Amazingly, to produce this the artist had to put the snowflakes  in first on a white fine piece of paper and then build everything around it. Think about it - this amazing work, and other pieces of the artists work can be seen at CNY Artists Gallery, which purchased this piece in 2013.

and an inordinate number of rocks.....

I'm a professor of Earth Sciences at Syracuse University by day, crime fighter by night!  Ahem. Actually I am an artist at night and specialize in fine art photography.  My general interests are in landscape photography,  travel photography, and occasionally abstract art.  I also take photographs of an inordinate number of rocks....(did I mention I am a geologist?)  I am very lucky in that my geological work has taken me to many countries (China, France, Morocco, Australia, Scotland, Czech…

Hi Scott,

Would you like to be part of our journalist's team and cover some things for us. Let me know.

I also sent out information a little while ago about how people can enrich their My Page. Hoe you can add some of your work and some words to let people know about you and your interests

Hi Scott,
Welcome to CNY Artists. There are a number of things you can do to have fun with the site. Once you sign in you can go to your My Page and put something on your blog that others might find interesting, or add a video or photos, or you can add something to one of the forum questions. Now that you have joined we will be sending you some pages of directions to help you navigate the site. Enjoy, play around. There is much to discover and feel free to invite friends.

By the way 2 questions - how did you hear about CNYArtists and also, we have a need to have someone shoot and edit some quick videos
( approximately 4 minutes apiece). these would be rough cuts - nothing fancy - I live in DeWitt. My cell is 391-5115 if you are interested - naturally you can also put videos on the site

Best regards, Peter Svoboda, CNY Artists Team
