Art Available - Gallery 1

Hope by Ron Warford, 40' x 30 " Graphite on Black Board, Framed
Mr. Warford's work was selected by the Smithsonian Institution for a national traveling exhibition in 1973. He was one of the initial founding and teaching members at the Folk Art Gallery in Syracuse. His work spings from his imagination and is masterfully executed. Tel (315) 391-5115 for more info or to purchase. One of the presidents of a local art guild referred to Ron's work as  "master works" for their power and quality.

Strength , by Ron Warford. 20 " X 30"

Home is Where the Hearth Is by Jaws. This piece took 600 hours. Amazingly, to produce this the artist had to put the snowflakes  in first on a white fine piece of paper and then build everything around it. Think about it - this amazing work, and other pieces of the artists work can be seen at CNY Artists Gallery, which purchased this piece in 2013.

Oneida Silver Factory Transforms to Chic Art Gallery

I never pictured myself in a silverware factory surrounded by my art, but that is exactly where I found myself last weekend.

The old factory building is located in the small village of Sherrill,…

Joan Applebaum Windy Hill Studio

I just found this site tonight. I love the idea and cooperative spirit. I have been an artist and an art educator for several years currently working as the Arts Studio Coordinator at the East Area Family YMCA in Fayetteville. I try to exhibit and sell my work as much as time permits. I am currently showing artwork in the Associated Artists Off the Wall show at the Manlius Library, the Stanley Center for the Arts Regional show in Utica, and also a few small artsy gift shops in the area. Here is… Continue

I just have too much stash and way too many ideas...So I have deceided to start using it all up with all those ideas...and hopefully what I come up with will add to that bank account. Of course me being the fabric artist...my stash is mostly fabrics...I want to make small items because I am currently working in a small space...makes sense to me..so , I have taken fabrics, cut them into 2 & 4" squares, put batting inside, stitched, painted and embellish them..They are ready for whatever…

Vatican Secrets Raise Eyebrows

The Travel Channel has launched a new show called, "Mysteries at the Museum." It seems as though there are always mysteries unraveling inside Vatican City. The Da Vinci Code has some fun with their story lines

stemming from this iconic location, but I wonder...what secrets and

mysteries lurk at the Vatican. A big mystery occurred to me when I

visited this landmark in 2008.…

career path

Well, it seems that teaching is what is being sent to me by The Universe...I have been creating products for more years than I care to count...but I have also been teaching my craft that long. So.." I think" the decision has been made to pursue offering more workshops as I have so many requests to do so. I will be

lessening the load to create and sell...I currently do not have an outside "studio", I will be in pursuit of that ...If anyone has a space to rent out for workshops, I know… Continue

Au Revioir France, Ciao Italy

Having finished my

French art painting, “Eguisheim in Bloom,” I lingered on not quite ready to leave this lovely little village and found myself strolling down one of its back streets.

Although the scene is more subdued than my painting, “Eguisheim in Bloom,” it has its own special charm. The narrow cobblestone street is sheltered from a hot noonday sun and invites the traveler to enjoy the… Continue

Pollution Threatens Sistine Chapel Art

Is it possible that my first visit to the Sistine Chapel, located in the Vatican which is the official home to the Pope, may be my last? The problem is real, the art is priceless. Each year over 4 million people stream through the Sistine Chapel to view the amazing

Italian art. Although our spirits may be pure, our bodies are

not.

There is great concern for the damage caused by the sweat,… Continue

Fairy Tale Journey - French Painting Artist

I recently visited the charming, little village of Eguisheim situated along the Alsace Wine Trail in France. Saying that it is “charming” seems like an understatement because the senses are overwhelmed with the sites and smells as I walked along the winding streets through this medieval village. Walking among the colorful half-timbered houses competing with a botanical array of fragrant flowers is almost too much to behold. In such a surreal surrounding it doesn’t take much imagination to… Continue

An introduction

Jewelry design is my outlet for developing my own ideas and a chance to work with my hands. I am an Industrial Designer by profession and jewelry has been a natural outgrowth of my passion for form and color, nature and natural materials, and my desire to create objects that are unique as well as useful. I look for stones and other items that are unusual and build the silver around them to accentuate the forms or express an idea. The silver is either sterling, created using traditional silver… Continue
