Art Available - Gallery 1

Hope by Ron Warford, 40' x 30 " Graphite on Black Board, Framed
Mr. Warford's work was selected by the Smithsonian Institution for a national traveling exhibition in 1973. He was one of the initial founding and teaching members at the Folk Art Gallery in Syracuse. His work spings from his imagination and is masterfully executed. Tel (315) 391-5115 for more info or to purchase. One of the presidents of a local art guild referred to Ron's work as  "master works" for their power and quality.

Strength , by Ron Warford. 20 " X 30"

Home is Where the Hearth Is by Jaws. This piece took 600 hours. Amazingly, to produce this the artist had to put the snowflakes  in first on a white fine piece of paper and then build everything around it. Think about it - this amazing work, and other pieces of the artists work can be seen at CNY Artists Gallery, which purchased this piece in 2013.

The Works of Deborah Laun

Artist Profile: Deborah Laun focuses her prolific creative abilities on sculpture of fine jewelry using silver and vibrant jewels. A resident of the Town of Onondaga, she is so prolific in her artistic output, that, as she describes herself, she began to sell her works in part because she was running out of family and friends to gift her creations to.

Supporting my habit

I was getting buried in the stuff I made. My family didn't want more presents. Then there is the cost. Silver is going through the roof. And I can't resist those luscious stones at the Gem Show. So, I have turned to selling my work in order to keep making more. This has become a challenge of its own. So here I am attempting to put my work out there. I have a website, and Etsy shop, a Facebook page, I'm in a few galleries, now a blog. It has been a strange year. Regular sales have flagged, but… Continue

My web site

In doing my "very first" blog I totally forgot to tell the world that I do in fact, have my own website....I designed it and built it myself...I must say, that my not being a swift computer person, I do have a feeling of pride...It is www.myfabricart.com It shows only a tiny portion of my stash of fabric pieces and what I do...It has none of my watercolors on it or any of my serigraphs...I do need to get myself organized and update it with a new look…

Cynthia Cameron Design

I started Cynthia Cameron Design about a year ago. I am Financial planner who has always had a love for jewelry and artwork. I have always wanted to learn jewelry making and for a brief time in the 70's I made beaded jewelry. It was not meant to be for me at that time, for a variety of reasons.

In 1996 I became interested in painting glass when we boated on Cayuga Lake near McKenzie-Childs. Glass is a Glass Originals was born. I was very successful producing very beautiful and funky… Continue

For Anyone Interested..

My art has it's own fan page on facebook. http://www.facebook.com/vykkyebner

I have a piece being published for a second time this spring, a painting at national grid, I've won an award from the Everson and I am currently interning there. The majority of my art reflects my personal struggles with mental illness.
However, I will not be selling any art posted on CNYArtists, because I put a lot of time into my work,…

Basketball Court Art Wows Fans and Artists Alike

College basketball may not be just for the sport enthusiasts this year as the art world is noticing a new canvas…basketball courts.

The old generic basketball court with its highly polished hardwood floor, team logos and boundary lines are what we have come to expect and very much take for granted. One court is pretty much like any other except for the logos and various advertising around the court.

The University of… Continue

A Picture Worth 1,000 Words- European Art Paintings

Is a picture worth 1,000 words? That was the question 13-year-old John had when his 7th grade teacher challenged his language arts class to find a picture and describe it in 1,000 words. The project would count for 25 percent of the class grade.

The next challenge was to come up with a picture worthy of 1,000 words. That’s where I come in. I received an e-mail back a few weeks ago asking for permission to use my… Continue

Country Traffic Jams vs. City Traffic Jams

One morning a few days ago, I walked out of the house to the sight of falling leaves and flying geese, a true sign of fall. The frosty field by our house had been converged upon by hundreds of Canadian Geese who found it to be a good place to rest and congregate. Between geese flying in and geese already on the ground, it was a real traffic jam and I might add quite noisy with much honking and vying for personal space.

I was reminded of my “Country Traffic Jam,” a few… Continue
