Art Available - Gallery 1

Hope by Ron Warford, 40' x 30 " Graphite on Black Board, Framed
Mr. Warford's work was selected by the Smithsonian Institution for a national traveling exhibition in 1973. He was one of the initial founding and teaching members at the Folk Art Gallery in Syracuse. His work spings from his imagination and is masterfully executed. Tel (315) 391-5115 for more info or to purchase. One of the presidents of a local art guild referred to Ron's work as  "master works" for their power and quality.

Strength , by Ron Warford. 20 " X 30"

Home is Where the Hearth Is by Jaws. This piece took 600 hours. Amazingly, to produce this the artist had to put the snowflakes  in first on a white fine piece of paper and then build everything around it. Think about it - this amazing work, and other pieces of the artists work can be seen at CNY Artists Gallery, which purchased this piece in 2013.

June Is Almost Here

Wow, where did this week go? My Italian paintings sit on their easels looking about the same as they did a week ago. Too much is going on outside and that is one of the problems of living in a snow state. All winter long we are cooped up in our houses,… Continue

Art Stuff

I was close to shoppingtown today so stopped by to see the show. I was well received by Patrick, made some new connections, 'wow'ed over the awesome art, bought 2 incredible textile pieces (who belongs to them? 2 small rugs?) and left my cards. I hope to hang some art there ASAP!

Great experience!!

BTW, Patrick will be hanging his art at my venue (Gentile's Restaurant) in mid August. Be sure to check out his show!

PS...why can I NOT send this in a message...nothing happens??…

York are enjoying all the beautiful Flowering Crab Trees which we have planted in our yards, and are now bursting in an array of pinks, reds and whites. Now the pinks and reds of the Flowering Crabs are being joined by the lavenders and purples of the many Lilacs… Continue

If you are an artist who has their work in the store for sale could you please email me an artists statement with either a photo or photo of one of your favorite works plus contact info that customers can reach you at (email address!) and if you have a website, the address for…

Venice Painting Helps Artist in Time of Grief

I am so excited to share my newest art of the Mediterranean Sea, an oil painting of Venice with you. I think you will agree with me, it shows the beautiful canal city in a very good light (quite literally). This is one of my larger paintings at 28” by 40,” and was painted on linen, so chances are the painting will outlast Venice itself!

I have so many hours in this particular painting, that if I were really living in Venice it wouldn’t surprise me… Continue

The end of the addiction

After months of working on the original pill bowl, building it up with every new purchase or doantion of pills, until it was huge, and having equally high hopes for it, it stayed in my den for a couple winter months. It then moved to the high school art room where I teach, and survived my students for a couple more months.  Then the tradgedy with it melting in the car on the way to the show.  I took it home, worked for hours, went to bed, got up again to work for another few hours. It was now… Continue

Home Again

We returned home on Tuesday @ 4 am from our 25 day cross country trip, to a peaceful house and a happy cat.

Chicago found us enjoying the Art Institute, Science Museum and Navy Pier. With good food and a Chicago hotdog thrown in.

Driving through Nebraska gave us a good under -standing of how vast our country is. The flattest land one ever did see. Huge blue sky with fields of varying browns & tans. One could only imagine how it might look in it’s glory with fields… Continue
